Hi list,

I'm using my FFOS branch 1.2 on my Alcatel One Touch for a while now and
have three issues that I've encountered of which I'd like to know your
opinion (so I can file bugs if they are confirmed). In any case I think
you'll enjoy some dogfooding feedback by a day-to-day user :-)

1. When I try to add a contact from a caller list, the screen goes blank
(completely black). The process is:
- Unlock the screen
- Press the "phone" icon
- Press the "lists" icon, the leftmost one
- I tap an outgoing call of which the number is not in my contact list
- A menu comes up ("Call"/"send message"/"save as new conteact"/"add to
existing contact")
- I select "add to existing contact". The contact list shows up
- I select the contact to which I'd like to add the number
- The screen goes black (only the headphone icon/clock in the top right
corner are visible)

This doesn't happen with all contacts, but for some it is reproducible.
The menu seems to be open in the background because I can "scroll" (and
have a somewhat distorted screen with black bars left and right. Maybe
it's a kind of screensaver mode that comes on VERY quickly (3 seconds
after I stop scrolling, it goes completely black again).

2. When in my contact list and trying to call someone whose number is
busy I don't get feedback (no display "number busy" or anything, just am
ejected back to the contact list). There should be some indication that
the call has failed (if I manually dial a number, there is indeed such a
confirmation, just when dialing out of a contact list there isn't).

3. When the need arises to enter numbers over the keypad while a call is
ongoing, the number of keys that can be pressed is limited. After the
limit is reached, it just won't emit any DTFM tones anymore and produce
no feedback that indicates to me that entering the digit didn't work. I
noticed this very annoying behavior when trying to activate my Windows
copy over the phone (you have to enter a ridiculous amount of digits, I
think its 50 or something). At some point I just couldn't enter any more
digits and had to contact their phone support. The number of digits that
can be entered to produce DTFM should be unlimited.

4. When wanting to supress the caller ID for just one call, the prefix
'#31#' can be added to the number in order to achieve it. That is, if I
want to dial +49123456789 without caller ID, I'd enter #31#+49123456789.
Works nicely, but when I need to redial that number, FFOS doesn't
memorize the prefix (only the actual number). Why is this? Is it a bug
or intentional?

Just wanted to write all this down before I forget it. Thanks for your
patience!

Best regards,
Joe
