Thanks for pointing this out Martin - I’ve fixed it now ;-)

So on the new MDN zones, the left hand menu is defined on the parent page for 
the whole zone; in this case it is 

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS

On that page you’ll find the menu in the source code, included under the 
heading “<h2 id=“Subnav">Subnav</h2>”. That whole section is grabbed and turned 
into the persistent zone sidebar menu that repeats across all pages in that 
zone. It works the same in all defined zones.
