Enabling USB storage on my device has never disabled access to the SD
Card except when plugged into a computer.

My use case may not be like the others, but since the web browser on my
device doesn't open a file selection dialog when I click on a file
input field of a web form, I have no choice but to connect to a another
computer and copy images off of my ZTE Open.
