I just wanted to say I had a similar but better experience. After bricking my 
device, I found ZTE to be of no help and was directed to contact the eBay 
seller. After contacting the ZTE US eBay seller and explaining the situation 
and going back and forth on possible solutions for about a week, I received an 
rma number and had a replacement device a week later.
