<snip> (google groups mangles quotes apparently, sorry about that) Just to add to your list of prior art, we're also working on the same challenge for Firefox for Metro, where touch-friendly editing, selection monocles and so on are largely working in current builds. You can run most of fxmetro with the -metrodesktop flag, but to see and test the touch UI you'll need a proper Windows 8 device with a touch screen. You're in Toronto?
