Hi all,
Congratulations to everyone on a spectacular v1.0 effort, really the
greatest project I've ever been part of.
Now we document all the killer features, the little issues, and any
workarounds that will be helpful guides to our users!
Here's how to get involved:
0. If you have only one minute of time, just reply to me in email with a
running blob of plain text and I'll be sure it gets into the wiki.
1. If you have a bit more time, pick something you like to document.
2. Register, log in and create a new help article on the wiki:
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/new
<https://support.mozilla.org/kb/create-new-knowledge-base-article>
3. Submit the draft article for review.
That's it! You are now a contributor to support for Firefox OS!
I'll be hosting a sprint all day tomorrow (and every other Thursday
until the launch) to review articles and create new content.
Keep it simple, just a 3-step article is perfect. Here is a sample with
wiki markup you can cut/paste:
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/add-contact-firefox-os
Here are some of the Firefox OS apps that need more tips and tricks:
Gallery
Lock (home screen/passcode)
Music
SMS
Video
Calendar
Dialer
Utility tray
Browser
FM Radio
Cost control
Developer settings
We also have a list of existing Firefox OS articles that need more
changes: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/contributors/need-changes
If you like to make videos or animated content, we welcome those
contributions to our gallery https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/gallery
The Mozilla support wiki is what our users will see when they go to
Settings > Help > User Guide, so this is your opportunity to influence
the Firefox OS v1 support experience and give some simple tips for
first-time users.
Thank you!
Michelle Luna
