FWIW, I think Jonas (along with cjones, gal, and the other b2g leaders) owns this decision, not release drivers. As far as I could tell, none of the release drivers were even at the last B2G work week. (Sorry if you were there and I missed you!) Ultimately the B2G team leaders are responsible for ensuring that we ship a quality product on schedule. Jonas and company's necks are on the line, and this group of leaders has been working day and night to herd us all towards completion of the product. Being fully-engrossed in the B2G project, Jonas and company are in a good position to judge what we do and don't need in order to meet our deadlines. If the B2G leaders say that requiring approval on top of tef+ puts the product at risk, I don't think release drivers should second-guess this.
