Mounting the /var/lib/AccountsService directory through nfs from an
external server might help get around this issue. I will see if this
works.

Title:
lightdm ignores session selection of ldap users

Status in “accountsservice” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in “accountsservice” package in Fedora:
  Unknown

Bug description:
lightdm (and gdm too) ignores the session selection of ldap users on the
first login after booting the pc. Instead of starting gnome-shell (for
instance), the default session unitiy is started.
After a logout end re-login again, gnome-shell works. But the reboot of the
pc results in ignoring user selections again. Furthermore, no ldap user is
listed by lightdm after a fresh start.
