Hi Nicholas, and thank you for your bug report! I can'r reproduce this problem with some of the .deb files that I have on my system. From the error message that you report it sounds like there might be a problem with the .deb file itself that you are trying to install. Would you mind attaching the deb file to this report? That should let us reproduce the problem that you are seeing.
