Bug description:
Head has a patch (http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/gnome-vfs/libgnomevfs
/gnome-vfs-ssl.c?r1=1.31&r2=1.32) that removes 60kb of mallocs per
gnome-vfs using process (because there are alot of small mallocs, this
may save more like 80-100kb of memory). The patch is pretty small, so
might be backportable.
