Title: gnome-control-center takes 100% CPU Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2 unity 5.4.0 gnome-control-center 1:3.3.90-0ubuntu1 When I have the GNOME Control Center open, I have soaring CPU usage by it - constantly at 100% according to top, and my computer's fan runs wild when it's open. I'm not sure why, but I would assume that, if idle, it should not do anything and have near 0% CPU usage. Steps to reproduce: 1) Open Appearance settings 2) Open a terminal 3) run 'top' and see if gnome-control-center is taking tons of CPU ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: gnome-control-center 1:3.3.90-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-15.24-generic 3.2.5 Uname: Linux 3.2.6-kroqernel+ x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.92-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 CheckboxSubmission: 7f98738f6663bda1ae1c2900a3a1db71 CheckboxSystem: 577751a334467e78ed04da699e5debc9 Date: Wed Feb 22 22:44:42 2012 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-control-center InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release amd64 (20110427.1) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-control-center UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-02-11 (11 days ago) usr_lib_gnome-control-center: activity-log-manager-control-center 0.9.1-0ubuntu2 deja-dup 21.2-0ubuntu4 gnome-bluetooth 3.2.2-0ubuntu1 indicator-datetime 0.3.90-0ubuntu1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/939242/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
