The messaging menu indicator turns blue, I click on it, I see the contact's name beneath the Empathy menu, and when I click on that, a new tab for that contact opens in the existing message window, but the messages that they sent are not there, even though I saw them go by in the notification area and the messages are logged in Gmail. I'm sorry I don't have more information about this at the moment, but this is something I've noticed happening off and on recently. This may be a duplicate but finding the right words to search for is proving difficult. Oneiric 32-bit with all updates. I will try to see if I can reproduce and take better note of the circumstances surrounding this.
