now i am on empathy 3.3.5 so i am able to reproduce this bug now.i am
confirming your bug and you can upstream it now.

Control-C copy shortcut doesn't work in Empathy Windows

Bug description:
Whenever I highlight a block of text in an empathy chat window and
press control-c, the text is not copied to my clipboard. I have to
actually right click and select "copy" to get the text into my
clipboard.
Ctrl-C needs to work!
