Public bug reported:

I have a laptop with Intel Core Ultra 7 and Intel Arc Graphics. I'm using
Ubuntu (include your Ubuntu version here).
When I connect an external monitor via HDMI, it initially works fine. After a
while of use (sometimes during video, sometimes while idle), the external
monitor image freezes — it stops responding completely.

The built-in laptop display continues working normally.

The frozen monitor still shows the last frame/image.

If I unplug the HDMI cable, the apps/windows that were on the second
monitor move to the main screen and continue working fine.

This seems like a graphics driver or power management issue specific to
Intel Arc.

Steps to reproduce:

    Connect HDMI monitor

Use system normally (move apps, play videos, leave idle)

After a while, external monitor freezes

Hardware:

    Intel Core Ultra 7

    Intel Arc Graphics (integrated GPU)
