OK, Plymouth crashing is a Plymouth problem. I've updated bug 2103533 to not suggest it only happens with Nvidia. ** Summary changed: - go backtrace during boot, can't boot + backtrace during boot, can't boot ** Package changed: dracut (Ubuntu) => plymouth (Ubuntu) ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 2103533 plymouth crashes with SIGSEGV in ply_terminal_set_disabled_input() -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to plymouth in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2103798 Title: backtrace during boot, can't boot Status in plymouth package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I'm using dracut with plucky. When I reboot, I briefly see the passphrase prompt for the disk encryption, but I don't have time to type it completely. Midtype, the screen gets filled with a golang backtrace, and boot stops. The only way to boot this system (that I have found) is to edit the grub entry and remove "quiet splash".
