I tried enabling "pushes contents around" and restarting but still no bug. Let us know if you think of any other unique factors in your setup. Do you have anything installed in ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions ?

A kind of shadow mouse pointer seems to be moving behind with hover effects on UI components, but the screen and "real" mouse pointer don't. When I deactivate the magnifier, the problem disappears.
