Title:
Login screen does not adopt user's night mode settings

Status in gdm3 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete
Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  This isn't a bug, it's a wishlist item :)

  This could be a sub-issue of: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-
  control-center/-/issues/2185

The login screen has no configuration preference at all, so there's a
bunch of pre-requisite work required to "fix" this.

I realised this when I was watching The Office (US) late at night, in
the pitch black, left for a few mins, came back and got flashbanged by
  my login screen
