Currently, I am using ubuntu 24.10 with wayland on my laptop and at work I use to plug-in via HDMI an external monitor. But whenever I open some windows (for example libre office writer or Rstudio) it opens on the external monitor but with a height that is too big. That is I can't resize the window manually and I have to plug out the monitor so that it opens correctly on the laptop screen. I have tried to use the ubuntu-bug command using the PID of an application suffering of this problem but it didn't open a new tab on my chromium browser, so I don't know how to retrieve all this information. Any help is much appreciated, Thanks a lot! --- ProblemType: Bug ApportVersion: 2.30.0-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME DisplayManager: gdm3 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.10 InstallationDate: Installed on 2024-05-09 (267 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS "Noble Numbat" - Release amd64 (20240424) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia Package: gnome-shell 47.0-2ubuntu3 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.11.0-13.14-generic 6.11.0 RelatedPackageVersions: mutter-common 47.0-1ubuntu4.1 Tags: oracular wayland-session Uname: Linux 6.11.0-13-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip docker lpadmin plugdev sudo users _MarkForUpload: True To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2088572/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
