Public bug reported:

When I closed one window in the current desktop session, the following
assertion failed seems to happen:

meta_monitor_manager_get_logical_monitor_from_number: assertion '(unsigned int)
number < g_list_length (manager->logical_monitors)' failed
meta_workspace_get_work_area_for_monitor: assertion 'logical_monitor != NULL'
failed

This issue is currently only observed on one certain program. Namely, a
Minecraft modpack instance. When it happens, first, the desktop glitches
as if only right half of the window is used to render the rest of the
windows, and the previously closed game menu substitutes as the new
desktop background. Then shortly after, the desktop crashes into the
"log out" white screen.
