Public bug reported: (Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS) We are using thunderbird in an environment where the home directories of the users lie on a networkshare. Before snap we could change the download folder to a local drive where just the user had access to. With the temp folder under ~/Download and no option to change the location, user experience suffers since saving and reopening over the network is way slower than saving the data locally.
Is there an option to change the folder location? (couldn't find anything symlinks do not help) Atm. the only option to fix this is to abandon snap and installing thunderbird manually. ** Affects: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: snap temp thunderbird -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2096905 Title: thunderbird.tmp vs. Network mappen home dirs Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: (Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS) We are using thunderbird in an environment where the home directories of the users lie on a networkshare.
