The importance of the bug is always a judgement call, I reckoned that (un)maximizing is still possible, just less convenient for a fraction of the user base (namely that that uses the double-click approach), and there exist alternatives (e.g. keyboard shortcut, maximize button etc.). Anyhow, this is an assigned bug upstream, which is what really matters. (:
