Public bug reported:

Having an issue in Ubuntu 24.04 (desktop) when running as a guest in
KVM/Libvirt.

The system starts fine and works for a time (often short, sometimes
longer). However, eventually the system display halts, and after a time
goes all black. Occasionally, the system might regain responsiveness,
but more likely never does, and requires a restart. A soft restart is
adequate, and the system responds to the queue to shutdown. The halting
does not seem to be related to workload and occurs on a system running
idle with adequate resources.

After restarting, an error report displays saying that spice-vdagent
crashed with a SIGSEV. This seems to be a recent development, but the
issue has happened more occasionally in the past. However, it has become
a frequent enough issue to make the experience unusable.

Guest vm set up with a standard process on both Ubuntu and Fedora hosts,
using default VM settings and reasonable resources allocated.
