Title:
no sound generated (after upgrade to 24.04.1 from 22.04)

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
My additional ALSA information is located at

  http://alsa-project.org/db/?f=5a173f48a71ad6ac868504b57de71d953f8531f9

  -------------
Sound was working fine before upgrade; after upgrade to 24.04.1 no
sound has been generated, despite my thrashing around trying reputed
fixes that I found on the net.

I don't know if this is related, but video playback was also not working
after the upgrade; I also tried numerous reputed fixes for this problem,
and eventually got _that_ to work; included in these reputed fixes
was updating the Nvidia driver to version 550.120, and some mods to
  /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
  ...
47 # try to fix no-sound problem on 24.04 after install
      48 options snd-hda-intel model=auto
      49 blacklist snd_soc_avs
      50 #
