Public bug reported:

Not sure when this started, but I noticed it when setting up new
machines with Noble Numbat. I pre-install them with everything needed,
*including a properly set hostname*, except a user account and then rely
on gnome-inital-setup to allow the user to set up a local account.

However, gnome-initial-setup now insists that the hostname should be
changed. It isn't even possible to enter the existing one since it is
"not unique" on the network. That's silly. The box should know that it
can continue using the hostname it already has.

But, really, there should be a way (perhaps via the vendor.conf file) to
remove that text-field altogether and not allow the user to change the
hostname (which needs to match the asset tag in our case).

** Affects: gnome-initial-setup (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
