Thanks for the response. How come I've only noticed this running Ubuntu 24 or Debian 12 with gnome and never on any version of windows I have ran on my mini server for the last 8 years?
I would expect high CPU usage when doing complex operations or graphical activities, but this is just the desktop and settings screens. Anything I can do?
