We encounter the same bug and so far i came to the same conclusion. Firefox snaps for Ubuntu 22.04 and Ubuntu 24.04 are the same files, they have the same checksums. So, yes, the bug on Ubuntu 24.04 does not come directly from the files of the snap.

I'm guessing the snap needs some sort of permission to use the kerberos ticket cache (or the plumbing to do so doesn't exist...). I can confirm that Chrome has the desired behavior.
