In the screen-shot the test "\320\226\320\270\321\207\320\275\320\260
\320\262\321\200\321\212\320\267\320\272\320\260" is Octet-Back-Slash-
Encoded UTF-8 of the Bulgarian text "Жична връзка", which is the default
name for new Ethernet network connections suggested by the Network
Manager applet.

Additionally the `nmcli connection show` also displays the octet
escapes.

Bug description:
  Network Manager applet shows Non-Latin characters escaped with back-slash and 
octets.
  This occurs in the applet drop-down for connecting to a network.
  This occurs in the applet drop-down for connecting to a VPN.
  This occurs in the edit-connections pop-up window.
  This occurs in the edit-network window when opening a previously created 
network connection with Non-Latin characters in the name.

  This started occurring in Xubuntu 24.04.
