This appears to only happen if Firefox and Thunderbird are set to use the "System theme - auto" theme. Manually selecting either the light or dark theme seems to work around this problem.

The main windows are fine, but their tab bars show old data from other apps in other virtual desktops. Attached are screenshots of this. The screenshots don't really show the corruption, but they do show the areas that are corrupted as a grey "chessboard" pattern. Apologies if this is filed against the wrong package.
