I can confirm the issue (I am on ubuntu 22.04 nvidia + x11). gnome- terminal, emacs and similar applications was lagging. Starting an application that updated the screen continuously (such as glxgears) seems to have alleviated the problem.
Downgrading mutter to from 42.9-0ubuntu7 (which I got in the latest upgrade yesterday) to 42.0-3ubuntu2 (release, which was easy to get hold of) seems to have fixed the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2059847 Title: Input lag in native terminal on Nvidia desktops with X11 Status in Mutter: Unknown Status in mutter package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: There is a noticeable delay in input while using the native terminal.
