Public bug reported:
Since Oct'23 while running gscan2pdf, libsane fails to load
automatically. The program fails with the following error message:
Can't load '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-
gnu/perl5/5.30/auto/Image/Sane/Sane.so' for module Image::Sane:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libsane.so.1: undefined symbol:
libusb_set_option at /usr/share/perl/5.30/XSLoader.pm line 93.
I can run the program by setting the path from command line as
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ gscan2pdf
Looks like the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable is not set correctly in some
recent upgrade.
I am using Kubuntu 20.04
