Following up on my earlier comment (#9), is it worth trying to apply patch https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/merge_requests/2928 to gstreamer1.0 and gst-plugins-base1.0? I was able to confirm the patch picks cleanly and gstreamer still compiles when applied to the current jammy refs: https://git.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer1.0/log/?h=ubuntu%2Fjammy and https://git.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst-plugins- base1.0/log/?h=ubuntu%2Fjammy .
