Title: setting system defaults kicks nautilus from ftp:// URIs Status in Mozilla Firefox: Confirmed Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: firefox 1) $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 2) $ apt-cache policy firefox firefox: Installed: 3.5.8+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 Candidate: 3.5.8+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 3) set default browser other than Firefox. launch firefox. open Edit/Preference menu, General tap; press "Check now" button on System Defaults. the value of gconf "/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp/command" shouldn't change, since it's bound to nautilus, used for FTP gvfs mounts. 4) the value of gconf "/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp/command" is changed to "/usr/bin/firefox %s" and FTP gvfs mount bookmarks stop to work. ps. since this bug is related to GNOME interop, I'm filing this bug to firefox ubuntu package. if it must be filed to upstream please tell me so.
