system monitor fails with Nvideo multi-monitor

Bug description:
I have four monitors attached to my Nvideo card, and when I try to run
the system monitor it does not come up. The icon in the left panel
shows that one instance is running, but there is no way to bring up
the actual window (a picture of the activated window appears in the
icon's "All Windows" section, but it is only a picture).
If I unplug all monitors except my main monitor, system monitor works
without problems, showing that the problem is caused by some
incompatibility between Nvideo multi-monitor support and Ubuntu
desktop support.
I'm using Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS, with whatever version of System Monitor and
Xorg comes with this.
Video card is GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, installed in Lenovo workstation running
Windows 11.
What I expected to happen is the System Manager window is displayed.
What happened instead is only the icon is displayed.
