But which of the debs do I need to install - one, some or all? and is there a "simple" command to do it or should I click through to the debs and manually download them? (just started to look into and found there are some debs after a few clicks, but now sure which to chose, some have also multiple builds...

It looks like a "bad TV Filter" or something, but I made sure no effect is selected at all. In the secont test of the bug reporting process, which appears to show the "original" camera image via gstreamer, the image is also wrong, but in another way. it's completely dark, but looking more closely, it seems to be the cam image, but extremely darkened so only a few of the most white parts of the actual image visible. Taking an actual shot with cheese seems to produce the actual image as is without any of both of these problems, so it seems to be the preview thats in error.
