Title:
gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV
Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Tested jammy-desktop-amd64.iso from 2022-04-05 on Ubuntu 21.10 with
virt-manager. I created a virtual machine and selected "Ubuntu 21.04"
as OS (which then uses pc-q35-6.0) and changed the video to virtio
with 3D acceleration.
I tried all video models. Here is the result:
* Bochs: works and gnome-shell is stable
* QXL: Failed after "Try Ubuntu". Screen goes black.
* Ramfb: No screen change/update after GRUB.
* VGA: gnome-shell crashes
* Virtio with 3D acceleration: gnome-shell crashes
* Virtio without 3D acceleration: gnome-shell crashes
