Public bug reported: Not sure if this needs to be dealt with manually, but to be safe:
The gnome-user-guide binary is a transitional dummy package which has been built by the gnome-user-docs source package and which is not longer needed. It was not built by the latest gnome-user-docs upload (41.2-1ubuntu1). But even if gnome-user-docs 41.2-1ubuntu1 migrated successfully, gnome- user-guide 41.1-1ubuntu1 seems to be kept in the jammy archive. So I'm asking for the removal of the latter. $ apt rdepends gnome-user-guide gnome-user-guide Reverse Depends: |Suggests: unity-control-center It's my understanding that no explicit request is needed for the equivalent removal at Debian: https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers- reference/pkgs.en.html#removing-packages ** Affects: gnome-user-docs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: jammy -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-user-docs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960753 Title: Remove the gnome-user-guide binary from jammy Status in gnome-user-docs package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Not sure if this needs to be dealt with manually, but to be safe: The gnome-user-guide binary is a transitional dummy package which has been built by the gnome-user-docs source package and which is not longer needed.
