Unfortunately this is by design: the snapd "home" interface allows access to all files in a user's home, except from the "snap" dir and all toplevel hidden directories. So,
~/.i/love/dot/folders is not allowed, but ~/i/.love/dot/folders is. The point is that toplevel hidden directories in your home dir generally do not contain user data, but configuration, cache, and other data which we generally don't want applications to mess with. I wonder if we should make an exception for "~/.local/", though, since that generally contains data which could potentially be useful for applications. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1959417 Title: unable to use jupyter-notebook package with snap'd browsers like firefox or chromium Status in Chromium Browser: New Status in Mozilla Firefox: New Status in snapd: New Status in chromium package in Ubuntu: New Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: New Status in jupyter-notebook package in Ubuntu: New Status in snapd package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Steps to reproduce: 1.
