the workaround of the fist message can be applied by any user, for change it by default must be done in nautilus package (that contain nautilus.desktop, or in latest versions org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop) even if I'm not sure if is good do it as seems cinnamon some users use nautilus (but probably is rare) the only way I can think of to do it in cinnamon would be to add it in cinnamon-session blacklist but it seems to me a worse thing and I don't want do it
