Same issue on an amdgpu laptop. This is even happening on chromium when 
disabling the gpu... As if the disabling gpu code does not work. There is loads 
of this output in about:gpu

Crashes mostly happen on heavier websites like gmail, youtube, etc.

  browser frequently crashing with  trap int3

  I used to be able to have many tabs open with Chromium without
  problems.  Lately it crashes or gives "aw snap" errors (see kernel
  messages below) if I start to keep more than 25 or so open.
