This may result in very poor performance. Repartitioning is suggested' NOTE: (i know this is obvious) but 515,200-514,176 = 1024 I have tried using GParted from boot disk as suggested with no success. I have tried the manual install method 'something else' from live CD which only recognizes /sda1 (os) and /sda5 (swap), /sda2 (extended) does not appear.
