Isn't PopOS more a new distro based on Ubuntu rather than a flavor like 
KUbuntu, UbuntuMate, XUbuntu? However, when PopOS people fixed it, it 
should be possible to learn from their code to fix mutter faster.

But this had to be done by someone. I *am* able to code, and probably 
could take a look, but also my skills and my speed are far not good 
enough, when hundreds of persons are very eager to get a fix fast

is after update to the (3.36.4-0ubuntu0.20.04.2).
