Previously the 'Places' button would always appear to the right of "Activities" However since a few weeks ago, every now and then the "Places" button appears to the left of the "Activities" button. This is bad for two reasons: * The desktop interface should be the same every time I log in. Being inconsistent and unpredictable makes for a bad user experience * I have hot corners enabled. With the "Places" button on the left, if I try to click on "Places" but put my cursor too far up and left, the hot corner activates, so it's as if I clicked the "Activities" button. It's quite hard to click the Places button when it's on the left. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 19.10 Release: 19.10 GNOME Shell 3.34.3 I originally reported this on the Gnome extensions repo, but they said I should report it here. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell- extensions/-/issues/247#note_852522 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1885529/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
