I cannot reproduce this issue on the latest Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS ( rhythmbox - 3.4.2-4ubuntu1 ) with the default radio stations shipped with rhythmbox. I tried with and without crossfade.
If this issue is still reproducible, please provide the following information: 1. Mention the station URL. 2. Is this with or without crossfade feature ? 3.
