Hi, is there any updates for this? I see this issue in xubuntu 20.04
(and previously 19.10). It clogs up the .xsessions-errors file
periodically until I run out of disk space. A temporary fix is to write
a cron job to empty this file if it exceeds some threshold

Bug description:
  I hope I am in the right place for this. My .xsession-errors file is
  filled with entries in the following format, in that order/sequence,
  over and over and continuously:

  (nm-applet:1839): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_destroy: assertion
  'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

  (nm-applet:1839): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_destroy: assertion
  'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

  (nm-applet:1839): Gtk-WARNING **: Can't set a parent on widget which
  has a parent

  Ubuntu MATE 17.10
