Title: jpeg compression slider on save Status in simple-scan package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Simple scan 3.28 on Ubuntu 18.04. When saving files as jpg, there is an option for compression there. And a level selector slider line. Get there by clicking save button on simple-scan after scanning. Then select "jpeg (compressed)" as file format. Then click save. Expected result: the higher the level of compression, the more image is compressed the lower the quality. Actual result: Further forward to the right the selected point on the selector line, the higher the quality and lower the compression. Need better design for less confusion for users who recently upgraded to latest version (or those who use gimp). Option A: Can put the word "Compression" on one side, and "Quality" on further right side. Or something better. B: Or at least just replace the word "Compression" with the word "Quality". C: Or put "Smaller File Size" on the left and "Better Quality" on the right. D: Or at least "File Size" on the left and "Quality" on the right E: Or an even clearer more concise better solution that maintainers can come up with. (see B again, which is how gimp does it) lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Release: 18.04 apt-cache policy simple-scan simple-scan: Installed: 3.28.0-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.28.0-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 3.28.0-0ubuntu1 500 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/simple-scan/+bug/1811593/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
