-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libexif in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/756808 Title: symbolic link is missing in amd64 Status in libexif package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: in the amd64 package there is a symbolic link missing in the filesystem. in the package libexif12 (0.6.19-1) are the following files: 1704455 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2011-04-10 19:45 libexif.so.12 -> libexif.so.12.3.1 1704176 276 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 280832 2009-11-25 13:49 libexif.so.12.3.1 the the following link ist missing: 1704460 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 2011-04-10 19:49 libexif.so -> libexif.so.12 I had to create it manually. the cause i was finding out it was, when i was using the programm "qlandkartegt" and go to the menu "wegpunkt" --> "von bildern" (in englisch version i think "waypoint" --> "from pictures"). the programm was coming up woth a error message: "missing file libexif-.so" so i created a symolic link with: sudo ln -s libexif.so.12 libexif.so ...and all is right now.... please update the package to make the link my installing it.
