You have been subscribed to a public bug: Starting with Ubuntu Eoan, chromium-browser is shipped as snap package, instead of a regular .deb package.
This is wasteful, since all dependencies have to duplicated. It also breaks apt, which no longer controls all the software on my system. I now have to deal with two tools to keep everything up-to-date. Please restrict snap packages to big, complimentary packages, which chromium definitely isn't. ** Affects: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Chromium is now a snap package https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1851011 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
