I am seeing a version of this bug in 19.04. However, this also causes a corruption of the of the cupsd.conf file and subsequent failure of the cups service to start/restart.
The cupsd.conf filer is overwritten with the single line. PreserveJobFiles Yes I think this deserves more urgency than medium. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to system-config-printer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1448351 Title: Preserve job files (allow reprinting) causes UI freeze Status in One Hundred Papercuts: Confirmed Status in system-config-printer package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I can set this via dconf and I have no issues, but when I use the GUI to change this setting and press OK, the application freezes up and I have to force it to close. Happens on Ubuntu 15.04 currently, and it happened on 14.10 as well after some updates. I'm assuming it's an issue in this application and not CUPS because I can change it via dconf without issue.
