@Robert: I saw that upstream turned down the proposal to unset LANGUAGE for this purpose. Considering that the issue is kind of Ubuntu specific, do you think that it should be done as an Ubuntu patch for now? Or is any of the methods, which are discussed on the merge request document, within reach?
