This bug was originally reported in 11.04. Retesting this bug in 11.10, reveals that network bookmarks *are* visible now. This bug can be set to Fix Released.

Also, the (gvfs-) connected servers are also not shown on the left in this dialog. This problems happens with a lot of applications, so maybe it's better to solve this in the GNOME-framework, by showing the Places entries by default.
